Privacy
Antenna Channel Guide has no accounts or sign-ups and doesn't sell any data. We count visits with Google Analytics, which uses cookies. Your ZIP code and your location are never sent to it.

What happens to your ZIP code?
Your full ZIP code never leaves your device. When you enter one, your browser downloads a small public file covering every ZIP code that starts with the same first three digits (for example, the file for 303). It then finds the nearest city on your own device and opens that city's page. Our host sees the request for that file, as with any page you load, so it can tell which three-digit area was looked up. We don't store what you enter.
What happens to your location?
We only use your location if you press the "Use my location" button. Your browser asks your permission first, then gives the page your position once. The page uses it on your device to find the nearest city we cover and rate the stations for your spot. Your position is never sent to us or anyone else, and it isn't saved. Reloading the page forgets it.
To do the math, the page downloads one public file for the nearest TV market, such as the Atlanta file. Everyone in that market gets the same file. Our host sees the request, so it can tell which market was looked up, but not where you are in it.
On a phone, the result can show a live compass arrow. It reads your phone's compass on your device in the same way, and nothing from it is sent or saved. iPhones ask your permission before the page can use the compass.
What does our analytics collect?
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use. It sets cookies in your browser so it can tell a new visit from a returning one. Your browser sends Google the page address, your IP address and basic details such as your browser and screen size. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
We remove any ZIP code from the page address before it's reported, and nothing from "Use my location" is sent. To stop Google Analytics on every site, use Google's opt-out browser add-on or block cookies in your browser.
What does our host see?
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block attacks. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Do we collect or sell personal data?
There are no accounts, sign-ups, comment boxes or forms that send us what you type. Apart from the Google Analytics data above, we don't collect personal data, and we don't sell any data.
What about links to other sites?
We link to the FCC, Wikipedia, manufacturers and other sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this one doesn't cover them.
